Doors and bar open 7pm, film starts 8pm
Our February Screen 2 film will be La Famille Belier...
In the Bélier family, everyone is deaf except 16 year old Paula who acts as interpreter for her parents and younger brother on the family dairy farm. A heart-felt comedy about a young girl whose close bond with her family is challenged by the discovery of an extraordinary talent for music.
"A canny cast earn any final-reel tears honestly: the ever-ebullient Viard proves even more expressive without spoken dialogue, and Eric Elmosnino lends wry support as the choirmaster." Mark McCarhill, Gaurdian
"The humour - there are quite a few good one-liners - and the warmth, the charm, the pathos, and the topic make it a pleasure." Mark Demetrius, Filmink (Australia)
Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for under 18s, and are available online now or in advance from Watts Trading or on the door if not already sold out.
